Missy's Last
Lil Gold Coin We call her our "war mare" since she would be our first choice as a battle mount. NOTHING scares this mare. Not vehicles, gunfire, dogs, water, obstacles...she's absolutely one of the bravest mares out there. She comes RUNNING to you when she sees you and loves attention. She is very, very smart and independent. She moves beautifully and was born knocking out a perfect 4 beat gait. She is "green broke", meaning we've only lightly started her...but for a "green" mare she is AWESOME. Fearless. Bold. Rides anywhere in the herd or alone. She would be an excellent a mounted games prospect. She loves to have a job to do and is willing to do anything you ask of her. She is small at 13.3h, but sturdy. Her sire is Gambler's Midas Touch WF, a perlino stallion that we bred and raised. He has a perfectly timed saddlegait and a true 3-beat canter. He is tremendously athletic and agile. As a foal, he looked like a little reigning horse - spinning, sliding, and cantering around. He retained that agility and athleticism as an adult horse. Midas' bloodlines are a unique blend of working and show lines. On his sire's side (Golden Gambler) he carries the blood of the western working horses from Calvin Miller's ranch on top (Blue Gold, Roy Roger's Trigger Jr aka Allen's Gold Zephyr) and the eastern bred old-time show horses (Ebony Masterpiece and Triple Threat) on the bottom. Midas' dam, Winning Touch, boasts industry greats Pride's Generator, The Touch, Ebony's Senator and Another Grey John. We exported Winning Touch to France some years ago. Her dam is Cash's Miss Coin CG, a direct daughter of World Grand Champion, Coin's Hard Cash.Coin's Hard Cash was by Pride's Gold Coin - arguably one of the greatest successes of the Harlinsburg Breeding Program, Pride's Gold Coin had a stellar show career. He won the 1976 Two-Year-Old World Grand Championship, the 1977 Three-Year-Old World Grand Championship, and the 1978 Four-Year-Old World Championship, and Four-Year-Old World Grand Championship. His prowess as a breeding stallion is legendary. Pride's Gold Coin has sired winning show horses in every division and is known as one of the most influential breeding sires of all times. Pride's Gold Coin was a full brother to Pride's Genius, both being by Pride of Midnight H.F. and out of the great Harlinsdale mare, Delight's Joanna (named to TWHBEA's Hall of Fame.) Pride of Midnight H.F. was directly by the great Midnight Sun and out of the successful show mare, Pride of Stanley. Delight's Joanna was by Sun's Delight D. - a big chestnut stallion who was considered to be the epitome of the true walking horse with his three distinct gaits, great manners, and good looks. He is also considered to be one of the all-time best sires of broodmares. If you're looking for beauty, movement, brains and PEDIGREE, look no further. She is either Ee or EE Aa NCr.
