 Dixie has a great deal of substance to her body
without being coarse. Her legs are straight and strong. Her
hip is superb, shoulder is large, and neck comes out high. She
has a beautiful head with large, kind eyes, keen ears, and a
tapered muzzle. Dixie's color is lovely - a smooth, creamy
gold - and she has no markings. In the winter, her sooty gene
gives her a black mask.
Dixie is a very
people-oriented horse. She is very affectionate and eager to
please. She is an intelligent mare with a good mind and
outlook. She is incredibly easy to work with and accepting.

Dixie is a beautiful
mover that carries herself like a queen, and is silky-smooth
to ride and behaves like a true lady. She tends to be on the
square side with the ability to flatwalk, foxtrot and canter. This lovely mare is as
athletic as any quarter horse. She can turn on a dime and stop
on a hair. She is very responsive and a JOY to ride.
Dixie has proven herself to
be an top producer. Her foals have excellent size, substance,
muscle and gaits. Dixie's first foal was a buckskin colt,
Gambler's Golden Lad WF. Her second foal was a double agouti
perlino colt,
Gambler's Midas Touch WF. Her third, an absolutely perfect buckskin
filly,
Gambler's Winning Chip WF, is now proudly owned by Susan
Davis. Her fourth foal is another perfect buckskin filly,
Gambler's Golden Diva WF.
We sold
Dixie to Charlotte Bennett and family, who exported her to
France with them and then to England.
