"KitKat" is one tough cookie. She has a head full of sense and learns quickly. It's too bad most field trialers look for geldings, because this brave, sensible girl would be ideal. She has been handled extensively and will be a breeze to put under saddle when the time is right. She currently stands 14.1h at two years of age and will likely mature at 14.2 or 3. Her owner hasn't submitted her TWHBEA application yet, but I highly recommend that the next owner do that. TWHBEA is offering an amnesty period on late fees for the rest of 2020, so now is the time! This filly is foundation bred from the Oliver and Lineberger stock in middle Tennessee. She is double bred Bud's Sterling Bullet and would be heritage eligible EXCEPT her dam's color line through Henley's Lightning doesn't qualify. However, a great horse is a great horse. Her dam has a great backend (look at that top angle and loin...and she sets underneath herself.) and very solid bone. KitKat is likely homozygous for grey, but hasn't been tested. Her dam, Beasleys Bullet Candy, is a direct daughter of the famed middle Tennessee stallion, Bud's Sterling Bullet (be sure to check out his history by Franne Brandon!) Bullet is by Senator Sterling (by Ebony's Senator by Ebony Masterpiece) and out of Red Bud Lady, a mare Leon Oliver described as "the best horse I've ever or will ever own.) Red Bud Lady was by the Oliver bred stallion, Red Bud's Rascal by the foundation bred Red Bud Allen and out of the Oliver mare, Merry Man's Starr. Red Bud Allen was by Clark's Red Allen (Merry Legs son x Roan Allen daughter) and out of Lizzie Allen (by Hunter's Allen) Candy is a well built, naturally gaited mare with great bone and substance. 15.1 1/2h barefoot on concrete with an actual measuring stick. Fantastic old hertiage bloodlines, but not IHWHA elegible due to color. Candy was broke to ride as a young horse, but hasn't been ridden since. She is an excellent mother. Foals and catches easily. Several of her foals have gone on to excel as field trial mounts. She throws smart, naturally gaited foals. She is the total package when it comes to gait - snappy front end, deep backend and can four beat gait at speeds most horses can only canter. Her sire, Bullet's True Mark, was bred by Sherry Hollingsworth of Lewisburg, Tennessee. From the time he was a colt, Larry Lineberger of Petersburg, Tennessee had his eye on him. He asked to be kept in mind if they every decided to sell the handsome grey colt. Eventually, Larry got his wish. True Mark has proven himself as a sire of naturally gaited walking horses, with some of his offspring becoming successful field trial mounts. When we visited Larry in November of 2017, we got to see the well built, good minded stallion in person, as well as several offspring.
