This blue roan beauty stands a true 15.2h and has a big, broad chest and excellent bone. She has a bright mind and learns quickly. She was exceptionally easy to put under saddle. We love her loose, confident way of moving. She really has a nice stroll to her gait. For a stately looking mare she has a fun, silly personality. When Jarred was putting out hay, he cut the net wrap so that he could remove it once the bale was down. Before he had a chance to grab it, Patience had grabbed it and was running up and down the paddock sailing the entire wrap behind her like a flag. We purchased Patience and her 2018 filly, Little John's Lined Up, who is homozygous for roan and black from NC. In fact, our adventure in selecting Patience is where she gets her name. We were visiting family in Thomasville, Georgia and came home through Denton, North Carolina in order to look at Patience and her filly. Shortly after leaving Thomasville our truck started having problems with the EGR system. It was a 2 day ordeal getting home with 6 horses (after picking up the remaining 4 Langston horses from Blackwater Stables, Patience and her filly,) 2 small children (Grace and James), and 1 tiny dog. She was bred and raised by WW Farms of Pavo, Georgia, just a stone's throw from where Jarred grew up. Patience is by the well-known McCurdy bred stallion, McCurdy's Roan Lightning. He was known for producing excellent field trial horses, but sadly passed away in 2018. Her dam is a direct daughter of Lined with Cash and out of a double Ebony bred mare. Patience foaled a buckskin roan filly, Sparkyl of Silver Sunshyn, by Darrah's Handsome Traveler on 4-18-2020 and a strapping buckskin (possibly roan) colt on 4-29-2021. (If you've never seen a buckskin roan, check out Touch of Bronzed Sunshyne!) Patience is a wonderful mother. She is confident and trusting and inspires the same in her foals. She allows them to be independent, but takes great care of them. Congratulations Jeffrey & Ellen Coulter of North Carolina!
