"Evil Stuntman, “Bo” passed away this morning. He was 33 years old. He was born in Ohio and was purchased at 18 months old by the late Donnie and Nancy Perkins of Springfield, KY. Donnie and Nancy loved Spotted Saddle Horses and saw potential in that colorful colt with his ink spots and one blue eye. They had recently hired me to manage their barn and stallions. I finished breaking him to ride and drive and kept on standing him when he was purchased by Joe and Ginny Mattingly in 1992. I had the opportunity to buy him in 2008. All together this “old horse” and I have been together for 31.5 years. He had success in the show ring in his early years, participated in a few parades, and even took part in an Abraham Lincoln reenactment. No doubt his greatest legacy is his nearly 1,000 colorful and level headed foals that have become great show and trail horses all over the United States.
