Gambler's Midas Touch WF x Joses Dreamy Girl

Legend is a fairy tale beautiful deep butterscotch gold palomino gelding. Legend was bred and raised here at Westwood Farms. His sire is Gambler's Midas Touch WF (by Golden Gambler) and his dam is a direct Jose mare out of a Neon Dieon mare. He was born on September 11, 2015. We immediately identified Legend as a potential signature horse, due to his bright mind and stoic disposition. He has been carefully fed, cared for and worked with since he was a foal with the goal of producing a once in a lifetime horse.  We expect that he will mature at about 15.1h.

When Legend was ready to be put under saddle, he headed south with Pam so she could have a personal project horse. Legend was trained by Keegan Meadows at Blackwater Stables in Quitman, Georgia.

We took Legend to his first field trial on December 5, 2018 at Lax, Georgia. The video of Jarred riding bareback is from when we first arrived. It didn't take long at all for Legend to get used to the dogs, gunshots, whistles and shouting. In fact, our wrangler and friend, Meredith commented on how impressed she was with his intellengence and how quickly he learns. He went from never-seen-it-newbie to a top notch judges horse with her in three days.
