When Ella foaled on June 26th, we knew it was coming. The buckskin coloring and beautiful, well proportioned foal weren't a surprise, either. But we were shocked to find that he was covered from the tips of his ears to the top of his hooves with tight curls!

We believe this colt is a recessive curly (both parents must have an pass on the recessive curly gene in order to have a foal with the characteristics). His type of curls are called "marcel" waves. Curly coats in horses are rare. Curly coats in walking horses even more so. Curly coated horses are believed to be hypoallergenic - meaning they are less likely to cause an allergic reaction in someone with allergies to horses. His dam, Ivory's Cinderella ("Ella") has proven herself to be a wonderful mother and a top producer. He has two full siblings: Gambling on Faith WF and Gambler's Golden Prince WF. We also retained his maternal half-sister, Ebony's Mark of Royalty.
